Tamara Robertson is a Science Communicator, SAG actress, Mythbuster host, Quirky Ginger, and Biomolecular Engineer. She graduated with a Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering degree from North Carolina State University and subsequently worked in Biotech field and Vaccines Facilities. Next, she moved into the Chemical industry, designing and building markets for plastics additives and post treatment technologies.
Though Tamara had many complex projects on her hands, she continued to build her acting resume through extensive training in the Meisner & Stanislavski techniques working with coaches such as Bojesse Christopher, J.D. Lewis, Heather Snow Clark and many others. In 2017, Tamara was a top 4 finalist on Science Channel’s Mythbusters: The Search!
While studying Engineering as an undergraduate at North Carolina State University, she participated in improv comedy, and drama through Commercial Print Modeling, Commercial Acting, and Acting with Maultsby Model & Talent Management in Wilmington, NC. She simulateneously worked as an engineer, managing the Chemical Engineering Department’s Biodiesel plant while at school.
Tamara’s dedication to her community hasn’t stopped at personal projects. She gives back with extensive charitable work through Engineers Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) and International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE). She continues to work with children in her local community through Acting and STEM outreach programs and camps.
